Geography

Nicaragua is a country with lots of beautiful animals, beaches, rivers, lakes, and much more. Some examples of popular places include the Cerro Negro Volcano, the Corn Islands, El Castillo, Lake Nicaragua, the Gulf of Fonseca, the San Juan River, and Granada. Granada is a small town in Nicaragua that is very popular to tourists because of its magicians, cathedrals, and wildlife like butterfly reserves. In Nicaragua, it is usually very hot and sometimes dry which is why it has many beaches. There are lots of different plants that are grown in Nicaragua like corn, eggplants and asparagus. But there are not many forests or big fields in Nicaragua but there is one that is interesting to some people and it is called the Pacific Dry Forest. There are lots of beautiful animals and wildlife in Nicaragua like butterflies, birds, dolphins, and lots of fish. Nicaragua is a country that relies almost fully on its locals and wildlife because the locals of Nicaragua run many different resorts, fishing docks and islands, and many local shops and outdoor malls. Nicaragua is just south of Honduras and is north of Costa Rica. But Nicaragua and Costa Rica have not had a very good relationship in the past regarding the San Juan River. They fought over ownership of the river for many years until a treaty was signed by both countries saying it was owned by Nicaragua but Costa Rica could use the river for any reason.
